Music helps us better connect with ourselves and the world around us. We like certain songs because they connect with pieces of our lives. When we share our favorite songs, we are really sharing parts of our selves.

Ian Maund developed the Soundtrack of Your Life as a Narrative Practice that could sustain young people through tough times. Derrick has used the Soundtrack of Your Life to help groups better connect through the power of music.

In this workshop, you will learn the history and skills of African Drumming. All the while, you'll be creating The Soundtrack of Your Life, a playlist of songs that tell your life story. This workshop is perfect for groups and teams looking to better connect while also having fun!
